CONGRATULATIONS to New Jersey Public Health Innovation Political Action Committee for a hugely successful gala on Thursday, September 28, 2023 in Hazlet, NJ. This sold-out event hosted over 350 attendees, featuring their keynote speaker, Dr. Peter McCullough, a world-renowned cardiologist, epidemiologist, researcher and author who emerged during COVID as a committed advocate to the advancement of clinical science, protection of personal autonomy, liberty, and constitutional rights. NJPHIPAC spotlighted the New Jersey health freedom candidates endorsed for the upcoming, November 2023 election. NJPHIPAC also introduced a surprise guest speaker, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., a current Presidental candidate, who has advocated in the halls of Trenton on behalf of NJ children, alongside us, the parents of New Jersey. RFK was accompanied by Jamel Holley, a former Democratic NJ Assemblyman, who emerged in 2019 as an influential advocate for parental rights.
NJPHIPAC emerged after the 2019/2020 “Battle of Trenton,” when the parents of NJ banned together organically and successfully fought, boots on the ground, in Trenton to protect and preserve the Religious Exemption statute for NJ students. The health freedom voting bloc was evident in Trenton during our many lobbying days, walking the halls of Trenton and rallying outside during December in freezing temperatures.
One year after the win, in January 2021, NJPHIPAC launched as a non-partisan PAC (Political Action Committee), with the “mission to protect and strengthen the constitutionally guaranteed and fundamental rights of New Jersey residents to make all medical decisions for themselves and their families without coercion or undue constraint.” Since 2021, this PAC has worked diligently to cultivate relationships with and thoroughly vet NJ legislative candidates to assess their positions on health freedom. Their fervent vetting process results in a “NJ Health Freedom Voters Guide,” that reflects the NJ candidates that earned their very prestigious endorsement seal. The work of NJPHIPAC has elevated the health freedom movement in New Jersey and has given a voice to the many families they represent. New Jersey is no longer relying on a whisper campaign to guide their choices in the voting booth, NJPHIPAC has simplified voting for health freedom for parents throughout the state.
The health freedom movement in NJ has evolved tremendously over the last few years. COVID and the obvious #CovidScience has helped to grow the health freedom community exponentially. One of our fellow NJ advocates, Dr. Michael Sarnoff, who I met in Trenton in 2019, posted this powerful image and quoted Dr. Liam Schubel. This image and message accurately reflects the significant evolution of the health freedom movement in NJ:
It was an honor to be among the many health freedom advocates from across the state representing various organizations that work collaboratively to protect and preserve the Religious Exemption and parental rights to make medical decisions on behalf of themselves and their children. The room was full of health freedom advocates, new and seasoned, as well as NJUMP (NJ United Medical Professionals) healthcare professional members: physicians, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and chiropractors, all of whom were asked to stand and be honored by the entire room! These healthcare professionals stand with NJPHIPAC and recognize the importance of true informed consent, preserving the doctor-patient relationship, parental choice and personalized medical care for patients.
The NJPHIPAC Board also introduced a new and exciting fundraising effort at the gala. They are seeking to erect billboards throughout New Jersey to educate parents about the growing childhood vaccination recommendations (currently over 100+ from birth to 18 years of age) and to promote health freedom candidates in key NJ legislative districts for the upcoming election. If you would like to support this campaign, please consider donating to NJPHIPAC.
Post event, Dr. Peter McCullough graciously penned a blog post and tweeted about the NJPHIPAC Gala and complimented the Board of Directors.
A fellow health freedom advocate and NJ healthcare practitioner, Ann Rosen also wrote a glowing Substack post about the gala, the NJPHIPAC Board and the evolution of the NJ health freedom movement.
“The magic at this event was a homegrown, grassroots variety.”
“Thank you for bringing us together to celebrate! Health Freedom sparkled in New Jersey last night and you finally got us all dressed up!”

I am so proud to be a part of the evolution of the health freedom movement in New Jersey. I wish there was a certain recipe to successfully protect and preserve health freedom that NJ advocates could share with the world, but in my experience, there is not one specific method that works independently. Honestly, there is nothing more magical and impactful than the collective respect among the various NJ organizations, the valiant efforts to support one another’s initiatives, the cheerleading and teamwork of the various tactics and visions as well as, the everyday “boots on the ground” work that organically prevails in our state to educate and inform our representatives from all angles.
We need to remain vigilant NJ, as we know the NJ Department of Health is attempting to circumvent the legislative process and alter codes that could impact all NJ children as of February 2024. Our work is never finished but as our movement grows and parents become more empowered, we collectively, can continue to prevail!
Such a beautiful and powerful event! And more fuel for a movement powered by love and community. Grateful for NJPHIPAC and Innovative Parenting for all the heart work.
