6.6.23 The air in northern New Jersey was full of a thick smog, that smelled as if a neighbor was using a firepit. Ashes were falling from the sky onto my car. The sun appeared like a fireball in the sky. It was like a scene out of an apocalyptic film.
6.7.23: Text message from local public school, acknowledging the smoke in the air and their intention to keep windows closed and students inside. My daughter texted (1 PM) me that peers in her classroom were putting on masks and that seeing that was more alarming than the creepy orange color of the sky outside.
Then, I saw this video on twitter: WHO Director General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announces digital immunization vaccine certificates which will be required to participate in society. #digitalpassports #vaccinepassports #showyourpapers
Is this the news that the fires are attempting to distract us from?
Governor Murphy tweets at 3:29 PM today that State offices are closing early today. Reminds me of COVID….
7:00 PM News 12 NJ displays all the local professional major league game cancellations. I recall when this happened during COVID…..
Governor Murphy’s 7:15 PM tweet reflects similar COVID messaging: “Stay inside, stay safe” and look to the NJ agency for guidance.
Stay vigilant New Jersey and do not allow fear to drive your decisions!

I find it hard to believe that smoke can travel thousands of miles from Cananda and remain that intense. It defies logic.
There's nothing normal about this. As I've said once before, back in 2020, "There's something rotten in Denmark."
